The contributions of digital technology in supporting and improving pricing decisions in the travel and tourism industry

This study aimed to show the contributions of digital technology in supporting and improving pricing decisions in the services sector, by discussing the changes that have occurred in pricing methods, and their impact on increasing competitiveness and increasing the volume of revenues and profits. This study was dropped on the website Priceline, which specializes in providing tourism services, in order to identify the most important strategies and pricing mechanisms adopted by it. The results reached the great role of information technology and the Internet in supporting and improving pricing decisions, by providing information and technologies that analyze all data of environmental variables and consumer behavior, to reach a price that satisfies all parties, and reached the adoption of the Priceline website many innovative strategies and mechanisms for pricing the products on the site, which contributed significantly to raising its revenues and profits.
