Abstract

This study explores the relationship between purchasing power in Algeria and economic growth throughout the period from 2001 to 2020. Utilizing robust quantitative methodologies, we have developed an econometric model that elucidates the ramifications of fluctuations in purchasing power, as signified by the consumer price index, on the economic growth rate of Algeria. The results demonstrate a marked impact of fluctuations in the Algerian dinar's purchasing power on the country's economic expansion, despite the government's comprehensive subsidy measures covering a broad range of vital goods.
