The influence of organizational culture on employees' performance mediated by organizational commitment
Keywords:
Organizational culture, organizational commitment, employee performanceAbstract
The study highlights the influence of organizational culture on employee performance with organizational commitment as a mediating variable by investigating the theory of social exchange. Using simple random sampling, the study sample amounted to 120 Bali Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) employees. Data were gathered using a questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale, measuring respondents' perceptions of organizational culture variables, organizational commitment, and employee performance. Data analysis was performed using the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method with Partial Least Squares (PLS) software version 4.1. It indicates that organizational culture directly and through organizational commitment affects employees' performance. The findings support social exchange theory, where reciprocal linkages between organizations and employees can enhance performance. The practical implication of this study is that organizations must strengthen organizational culture and the commitment of employees to enhance performance.
