Abstract

Religious tourism plays a major role in increasing the state's hard currency income, as it can contribute more than $2 billion annually as hard currency income to the national economy. And Algeria, which possesses, in addition to the picturesque natural tourist places classified within the world heritage, it abounds with a cultural heritage and important historical religious monuments, such as the shrines of saints, scholars, and leaders of the Islamic conquest, and religious archaeological corners and mosques that attract thousands of visitors from different countries. We aim through this study to shed light on the religious monuments and establishments that abound in the state of Biskra and represent a cultural heritage that represents part of the history of Algeria and to stand on the strategy of activating and developing religious tourism in the state.
