Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of institutional quality and firm growth on bank stability in banking companies in Southeast Asia. The research population covers banking firms in the Southeast Asian region from 2013 to 2022, with a focus on the ASEAN-5, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. Based on data availability, the sample consists of 100 companies over 10 periods, resulting in a total of 1000 panel observations. The results of panel data linear regression analysis conducted using Eviews12 show that institutional quality has a negative and significant influence on banking stability.
