Abstract

This study is carried out to examine the “Impact of Strategic Leadership Approach on Organizational Performance (a study of Guaranty Trust Bank, Asaba)”. Two objectives were used in determining the direction of the study.  The instrument used for data collection is questionnaires which were administered to 100 staff out of which 95 were retrieved and were applied for the study. The statistical tool used for data analysis is Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Hypothesis testing was done using linear regression with the aid of a statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) as it is appropriate for testing the results of the samples collected. The findings reveal that democratic and laissez-faire leadership styles have a significant relationship with the performances of staff while autocratic leadership style has no significant relationship with the performances of staff of GTB in Asaba and therefore concluded that the performance of staff in an organization is a function of the leadership style adopted especially in the group of companies like GTB, Asaba.
