Demographic projections of the active population in Batna Province and its needs – prospects for 2050 using the spectrum program
Keywords:
Demographic projections, active population, needs, Spectrum ProgramAbstract
This study's main goal is to identify and predict future job needs by conducting demographic projections for Batna Province's active population. Without understanding the number of additional workers who will join the Batna labour market by 2050, this cannot be accomplished. In order to achieve this, a series of scenarios was created using the Spectrum Program to simulate future changes in demographic factors affecting population growth over the years 2008–2050. This is predicated on the knowledge that strategies based on data and information rooted in present realities and future predictions are the only way to achieve any progress in a country or region. Such strategies are essential to ensure the availability of employment opportunities for new job seekers in Batna Province.
